ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s business landscape reached a new milestone in July as thousands of entrepreneurs stepped into the formal economy, pushing company registrations to a record high. The latest figures reflect increasing business confidence, expanding digital entrepreneurship and continued interest from both local and foreign investors in Pakistan’s corporate market. The regulator said foreign participation also remained visible, with five foreign companies establishing offices in Pakistan during July. In addition, 112 newly registered companies included foreign directors from countries such as Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and China, highlighting continued international interest in the Pakistani market. The increase in company registrations signals a continued shift towards formalisation of businesses and expansion of economic activity across multiple sectors.
