According to a report by the UK regulator, the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), the efficiency drive in the North Sea resulted in an additional 21,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day being produced. This came from just a 1% increase in production efficiency across the basin throughout the year. However, the Central North Sea reported a three mmboe drop and the Southern North Sea and East Irish Sea reported a massive eight mmboe decline.
