IFN StaffThe Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education selected Doug Knight to serve as chair and new board member Rhonda Waugh to serve as vice chair during Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting. The selection of a new chair and vice chair were delayed until Angell’s replacement for the District 2 seat was sworn in. Sloan then nominated Kurn for vice chair, and Hoke nominated Waugh. The chair and vice chair elections were added to the agenda at the request of Kubiniec. The board went into executive session after electing the new chair and vice chair.
