DOTD Announces Two Week Closure Of I-20 Westbound Exit To Bert Kouns

When the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the May 18 start of a project on the I-20 westbound exit ramp to LA 526 (Exit 8 - Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) they warned us there would be times traffic would be extremely challenging, and it would appear that the next couple of weeks will prove them true to their word. The I-20 Westbound Exit Ramp To LA 526 Will Be Closed Approximately Two WeeksGoogle Maps Google MapsThe exit ramp is scheduled to remain closed for two weeks and, weather permitting, will reopen on Monday, August 24th. Apparently, this full closure is necessary to allow the contractor to perform concrete pavement repairs on the existing ramp. Westbound vehicles on I-20 will be detoured via US 80 (Greenwood Rd) and back to LA 526 (Bert Kouns).
