The Royal Barrow Festival of the Sea will sail into Buccleuch Dock from August 8 to August 9 with iconic tall ships and historic vessels on display between 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Visitors will be able to step aboard the striking 35-metre-long vessel in order to tour the deck and view the ship’s unique rigging. As part of the festival offer, maritime enthusiasts will also get the opportunity to learn more about Barrow’s dock history through talks and tours. With no parking available on the festival site itself, visitors are being asked to plan ahead. Barrow Town Council and partner groups are promoting the festival as a key date in the town’s summer calendar.
