Heather, one of the resident Scottish Wildcats at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis near Milnthorpe, marks the milestone just one year below the average lifespan of her species in the wild. Lakeland Wildlife Oasis first opened to the public in April 1992 and transferred into ownership of The Lakeland Trust for Natural Sciences in 2012.
