The event has been put on by John Edwards, the chairman of the Walney Musical Theatre Company (WMTC), to celebrate the world of local theatre. Mr Edwards said: "As I turn 30, I'll be looking back on 15 years of local theatre with some of the wonderfully talented people who made it happen. "All proceeds will go towards two local charities in memory of my Grandad, Ray Southall, and close friend Kath King – The Maple Suite at Furness General Hospital (FGH) and St Mary’s Hospice respectively." Mrs King died in November 23 and was a valued member of WMTC, acting as the company's treasurer.
