Golden Egg Oriental, in Wherstead Road in the south of the town, has been put up for sale by agent Gilbert and Rose. The takeaway currently operates Wednesday to Monday from 4pm-10pm, but is closed on Tuesdays with approximately three years left on the lease. The agents behind the sale describe Golden Egg as: "Perfect turn-key operation to continue as a successful Chinese takeaway, or easily convertible to suit a wide range of alternative cuisines. "Currently set up as a takeaway, but easily adaptable to add indoor seating/dining to create a sit-down restaurant. The Golden Egg does not currently hold an alcohol licence and any such licence would have to be applied through Ipswich Borough Council
