Jake Rigby, of George Street in Ryde, appeared at the IW Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, July 31. Prosecutor Shona Probert told the court Rigby, known as a former landlord at The Sun Inn in Calbourne, had secretly set up a camera concealed inside a clock, which live-streamed footage from the woman’s home directly to his iPhone. Between May 2024 and January 2025, the device captured "intimate moments" of his victim, with Rigby used to obtain sexual gratification, the court heard. Defending, Nate Lara said Rigby had shown remorse, accepted that what he had done was wrong and said he "felt weird by it." He confirmed the victim had been completely unaware of the recording until she, by chance, noticed the livestream on Rigby’s phone.
