One of the battery cells caught fire, forcing staff to act quickly and contain the blaze using sand. They said: "Do not ignore swollen batterys, if this was in a house unattended, this could set a room alight in seconds." Such incidents are rare, with the shop experiencing this only once before with a phone in 15 years.
