Kenya's inflation: Electricity, other food and non-food items whose prices increased in July 2026

Households using 50 kWh saw their bills rise 3.5%, with the average charge moving from KSh 1,243.85 to KSh 1,286.84.
Among food items, mangoes recorded the largest price gain at 3.2%, followed by Irish potatoes at 2.1%, with one kilogramme rising from KSh 111.10 to KSh 113.46.
The data revealed that antibiotics recorded the steepest price gain among health-related items, rising 2.1%.
Between June and July 2026, the price of tomatoes fell from KSh 117.87 to KSh 113.47 per kilogram.
Additionally, the cost of refilling a 13 kg liquefied petroleum gas cylinder dropped from KSh 3,470.82 to KSh 3,432.21.
