Nearly 2,000 Jewish Canadians Seek Shelter in US, Israel as Hate Crimes Rise

For a growing number of Jewish Canadians, the question is no longer how to respond to rising antisemitism at home, but where to build a future.
Tulsa Tomorrow reports receiving inquiries from roughly 900 Canadian families, representing nearly 2,000 people, who are exploring a move to the United States or considering aliyah to Israel.
Police data shows that Jewish Canadians, who make up about 1% of the country’s population, have been targeted in more hate crimes than all other religious groups combined.
Some advocates and US think tanks have urged the administration to consider asylum or refugee pathways for Jewish Canadians fleeing hostility.
One example is the “Lech L’Tulsa” initiative, operated by Tulsa Tomorrow together with the Jewish Federation of Tulsa.
