Odisha adds 91 cancer treatment packages under Ayushman, GJAY

Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to cancer care in Odisha, state government has added 91 cancer treatment packages under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) as part of the Mukhyamantri Cancer Care Abhiyan.
With the latest addition, the total number of treatment packages available under the Ayushman card has increased from 2,163 to 2,254, expanding access to advanced cashless treatment for cancer patients across the state.
Announcing the development, Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling said the initiative would help ensure that cancer patients are not deprived of treatment due to financial constraints.

The expansion follows approval from the National Health Authority (NHA) for the 91 new cancer treatment packages.
