Nigeria’s energy sector is changing rapidly, and our regulatory approach must evolve just as fast. When decisions are timely, standards are applied consistently and regulatory processes are clear, businesses can plan with greater confidence. We are making greater use of digital platforms, including contactless licensing and digital compliance systems, to simplify regulatory processes, improve service delivery and reduce unnecessary delays. Building a stronger petroleum industry requires partnership and consistent engagement with stakeholders. The Petroleum Industry Act has given us a strong foundation, but the real measure of reform will always be its implementation.
