The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) has confirmed the juries for its major competition awards ahead of this evening’s Opening Night Gala.
The Bright Horizons Award, supported by VicScreen, will be judged by jury president Sophie Hyde, alongside Joe Swanberg, Desiree Akhavan, Noora Niasari, actor Courtney Eaton and Singaporean producer Tan Si En.
The Sundance-premiering feature stars Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage, Richard E. Grant and Melbourne’s Elizabeth Debicki, and is in the running for the Bright Horizons Competition.
“It is a delight to welcome audiences once again to the Melbourne International Film Festival, as our city comes alive for a celebration of cinema like no other,” he said.
Winners across the festival’s award categories will be announced at the MIFF Awards ceremony on Saturday, August 22 at Rydges Melbourne.
