In November 2025, ahead of the annual Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes, the historic venue unveiled the Sphere Immersive Sound system, made famous by the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Radio City is the second venue, following the Beacon Theatre, in New York City that has implemented the sound system.
Sphere Immersive Sound uses 3D audio beamforming and wave field synthesis technology to completely transform how the audience experiences sound.
Following the Christmas Spectacular, Sphere Immersive Sound helped bring to life the New York Philharmonic’s current season.
“It’s been a great opportunity to recreate the Sound Design for ‘Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular’ using the new Sphere Immersive Sound System at Radio City Music Hall.
