The businessman, who has represented artists and athletes for several decades, was identified on Monday, Aug. 3 when a longstanding suppression order was lifted by the County Court of Victoria. Media outlets were unable able to disclose Carr’s identify until this week, due to a suppression order granted under Section 18(1)(c) of Victoria’s Open Courts Act. His live entertainment company RCM Touring Pty Limited went into liquidation in 2018, after reportedly owning A$120,000 to another touring enterprise, Big Deal Touring. Following this week’s revelation, which made the front pages of newspapers across the country, former Aussie rules football star Dustin Martin cut ties with the disgraced talent manager.
