Western Union (NYSE: WU) has rolled out a new product called Stablecard, developed together with the stablecoin infrastructure firm Rain. Western Union plans to reach more than 60 markets by the end of the year. Beyond convenience for end users, the model is expected to improve capital efficiency for Western Union itself. Funds that remain inside the app also stay within the Western Union ecosystem longer, opening the door to additional digital services over time. The Stablecard app is available now in the Apple App Store and on Google Play in the initial markets.
