CANFIELD, Ohio – Canfield Township trustees will celebrate the dedication of four new pickleball courts at 10 a.m. Friday at Canfield Township Community Park, 7419 Herbert Road. Community members and elected officials are invited to attend the dedication and ribbon cutting. The project was made possible through the support of several community partners, including the Mahoning County commissioners, $65,047; community donations, $35,000; Canfield Rotary Club, $10,000; and Canfield Township, $34,634. The park, which serves as a hub for recreation and community activities, features several athletic fields, a basketball court, playground equipment, a covered pavilion and a multipurpose building and pavilion available for community events and private rentals. Additional enhancements under consideration include paving the handicap-accessible and lower parking areas serving the pickleball courts and constructing a bocce court, the release states.
