As BC Wildfire Service crews continue to make progress on the Tower Creek fire (N10947), a portion of the Evacuation Alert that was issued on July 19 has been rescinded. As of 12 p.m. August 5, 65 properties in the St. Mary Lake area will no longer be under an Evacuation Alert. The Evacuation Alert remains in place for one property west of St. Mary Lake: • 4404 ST MARY LAKE RD. This size increase comes from the Tower Creek and Tower Creek 2 fires, which are now being reported by BC Wildfire as one fire – N10947. Lead image: The Tower Creek Wildfire on July 23.
