The trio hold copies of Branstetter’s newly-released book, Don’t Be An Athena, published by Ozark Hollow Press. Although the book took several years to complete, Branstetter said it’s been a lifetime in the making. In school, Branstetter said, some educators treated her like a future high school dropout, one who would “get knocked up.” “Don’t Be An Athena,” Branstetter admits, can be a tough read.
