Israel has successfully tested an upgraded version of its Arrow missile defense system, incorporating lessons learned from the recent war with Iran.
Israel Successfully Tests Upgraded Arrow SystemThe Israeli Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) within the Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D) of the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD), together with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), successfully completed a planned test of the Arrow Weapon System on Wednesday.
A Key Layer of Israel’s Missile ShieldThe Arrow Weapon System forms the upper tier of Israel’s multi-layered air and missile defense architecture, alongside David’s Sling, Iron Dome, and Iron Beam.
Development of the Arrow system is led by the Israel Ministry of Defense, through the IMDO within the DDR&D, in close cooperation with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
Dr. Daniel Gold described the successful trial as an important step in further strengthening Israel’s air defense capabilities.
