Post Views: 2,700Dehradun: The newly elected members of the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly of Dekyiling Tibetan Settlement were sworn in on 5 August 2026. In the morning, the ceremony took place at the Local Tibetan conference hall under the supervision of the Local Tibetan Election Commissioner cum Tibetan Settlement Officer Tsewang Phuntsok. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the members of the Local Election Committee, and other election committee members, with a total of 23 participants, gathered at the Dekyiling Local Tibetan Assembly conference hall. Subsequently, 17 out of 23 elected members of the 12th Local Tibetan Assembly took the oath of office before Northern Local Justice Commissioner Choekyi. Among them, Pema Tenzin was elected President of the Local Tibetan Assembly and Karma Phuntsok as Vice President.
