Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed hit back at President Donald Trump after he targeted him directly, saying the president couldn’t “stay on focus.” After el Sayed won the Tuesday Michigan Senate primary, Trump and the Republicans have turned their sights against the progressive Democrat, with Trump unleashing on him in a Wednesday speech. Responding to Trump’s many criticisms in an interview with CNN, el Sayed began by sarcastically thanking the president for calling him a “lovely gentleman.” The man can’t stay on focus. But instead of that, he’s more focused on me and what I’m going to do while we’re living through an affordability crisis that is generational.”
