The Grant County Court at its Aug. 15, 2026, meeting approved a school resource officer for the 2026-27 school year, approved a land partition and heard a Greater Idaho update. The court also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Grant County Education Service District for a school resource officer and approved a land partition at the meeting. She urged the Grant County commissioners to use their voices to stand up for Grant County residents and to work with other commissioners and the Eastern Oregon Commissioners’ Association to further the interests of Eastern Oregon. In other Grant County Court news:• The court approved a land partition for Dayville School District. • The court approved an intergovernmental agreement between Grant County on behalf of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and the Grant County Education Service District that will see the ESD pay the county $120,000 for school resource officer services for all Grant County schools for the duration of Grant County ESD’s 2026-27 academic calendar.
