Human Trafficking: NIS Arrests 12 Foreign Suspects, Rescues Two VictimsThe Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has dismantled an alleged transnational human trafficking and fraudulent recruitment network linked to the QNET/IGNITE group. In the operation carried out through actionable intelligence, the Service arrested 12 foreign nationals and rescued two victims during coordinated operations in Lagos State. It added that two Liberian nationals were rescued during the operation after being identified as victims of the syndicate’s alleged illegal activities. The statement reads in part, “The operational breakthrough was based on actionable intelligence on the activities of Trafficking Syndicates across Lagos and Ogun States. “Accordingly, the twelve (12) suspects and the two (2) victims have been transferred to the Service Headquarters for further investigation and necessary legal action.
