International research project POP-PV (Process Optimisation & Production Readiness for Next Generation Solar PV Manufacturing) has launched with the support of national funding from Innovate UK and Vinnova. The project will assess the key manufacturing and materials challenges that are limiting the commercialisation of perovskite solar cells. The consortium will look at new solar power solutions for underutilised buildings, such as warehouses, factories, and commercial buildings. Henrik Pettersen, CEO of Dyenamo, said: “Perovskite solar cell technologies have turned out to be highly specific when it comes to materials. For Power Roll, the project holds particular importance as the company manufactures ultra-lightweight micro-groove solar film technology for commercial and industrial rooftops.
