Renewable energy developer Push Power has received planning approval for a 16.5MW/22.5MWh solar-plus-storage project in Essex.
The Kentishes solar and energy storage installations were approved by Braintree District Council, which decided that the project’s energy and biodiversity benefits outweighed its limited impact on the local surroundings.
Announcing the approval, Push Power said the project will make “a valuable contribution to the UK’s growing renewable energy infrastructure while also supporting biodiversity and sustainable land management.”
Push Power currently has six grid-connected solar PV and energy storage projects in the UK.
Braintree Council approved Eden Renewables’ 13.8MW Sheepcote solar project in August last year.
