Two men were arrested after police allegedly found ammunition and suspected house-breaking implements during an anti-crime exercise in the Central Division early Tuesday. The vehicle had reportedly crashed into a drain along Balchan Street, Union Village, Couva. A search of the men allegedly resulted in the discovery of the vehicle’s keys, a balaclava and a bandana. The two suspects were arrested and taken to the Couva Police Station for further enquiries. The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Bhagwandeen, Superintendent Frank and Inspector Rampersad, and led by Sgt Samuel and Acting Cpl Duncan.
