At least four people took actions during Saturday’s mass shooting around the Twin Falls In-N-Out to help limit the number of casualties. “He did not like it when bullets started firing both ways,” Salinas told the Idaho Statesman on Sunday, referring to the shooter. “We commend their heroic actions, which we believe helped drive the suspect away from the scene and prevent further casualties,” the Twin Falls Police Department said Sunday on Facebook. A third person — Austin “AJ” James — also intervened in the shooting, Twin Falls County Sheriff Jack Johnson confirmed Wednesday in an interview with the Idaho Statesman. Meanwhile, a fourth person moved to protect about three dozen people from the shooting at the nearby Twin Falls Visitor Center, Johnson said.
