This architectural rendering shows what the new home for Newgate Mission will look like if completed. As of July 29, Newgate had raised $900,000 of its $3.6 million goal to pay for construction of a 9,000 square-foot building. An anonymous donor has pledged $500,000 to help pay for construction. Many people in Longview think Newgate serves only South Longview, but it reaches out into other parts of the community as well, Howard said.
