As election night watch parties buzz and results trickle in, one campaign is already laying out its message. Jake Zimmerman is seeking the Democratic nomination for St. Louis County executive and was leading in early returns. At his gathering Tuesday night, campaign Director Rosetta Okohson told The St. Louis American the campaign was built around restoring trust in St. Louis County government while meeting the needs of residents across the region. Okohson said Black communities extend well beyond North County and deserve equitable attention from county leadership. “We know our community, the community that looks like me, lives across the St. Louis area and has a need for resources, priorities, and support systems,” Okohson said.
