York Inset Scooter Club hosted its annual Show and Shine display on Saturday, August 1 in York city centre, drawing crowds to Grape Lane to enjoy a day of motorcycles, scooters, and community spirit. Ken Cooke, 100-year-old D-Day veteran and club president, judged the entries and presented awards for best motorcycle and scooter, which went to Rob Coleman and Alan May respectively. Nick Beilby, an official from York Inset Scooter Club, said: "Ken had another great day and particularly enjoyed chatting to people and having his photograph taken. "The club were delighted to support SNAPPY as we know what wonderful work Anne Stamp and her team do." York Inset Scooter Club regularly supports charities through ride-outs and community events.
