Broadacres will deliver additional housing-related support across parts of North Yorkshire under a new agreement with North Yorkshire Council. The ‘LIFE’ contract, short for Living Independently for Everyone, aims to help more people live independently and access tailored support. Katie Wharfedale, Broadacres’ service manager for support services, extra care and sheltered housing, said: "This is a really exciting step forward for Broadacres and a significant vote of confidence from North Yorkshire Council in our support services. Currently, Broadacres supports 61 people through its mental health services, but under the new contract, it will support up to 150 individuals by the fourth year. The accommodation element of the LIFE service will provide short-term housing, usually for one to two years.
