A longshot Democratic candidate for Congress in Hawaii has been seen hurling a chair at a stranger during an altercation about the volume of the music he was blaring on a public beach. Political hopeful Kirill Basin, 40, was caught on camera fighting Kama Homan, 41, on Keawakapu Beach in Maui on Saturday after yelling and swearing at a group of bystanders. Maui Police said the beach altercation unfolded after a 61-year-old man approached Basin and asked him to turn his music down. It is unclear why Basin allegedly entered the government building or who he threatened, however police said it followed a string of bizarre behavior from the congressional candidate. Basin has denied all the allegations and filed a lawsuit saying he was wrongfully arrested over the town hall altercation.
