The chairman of Fyfield Parish Council said: “Our roads were built for horse and cart.
Fyfield Parish Council’s chairman said local planning now feels “almost irrelevant”.
“It makes you ask, why have parish councils at all if our work is brushed aside?”
Residents say repeated blockages, sewerage concerns and hosepipe bans already blight the village, and fear big developments will push the system beyond its limits.
Villagers want Test Valley Borough Council to show stronger leadership and use every planning power to protect places like Fyfield.
