According to the IMD, multiple states are likely to witness intense rainfall activity over the next 24 hours as active monsoon conditions continue to prevail across the country. For the Delhi-NCR region, the weather department has predicted generally cloudy skies along with the possibility of heavy rainfall during the day. The IMD has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Odisha, Kerala, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Gangetic West Bengal. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand has been witnessing persistent heavy rainfall since Wednesday, leading to a rise in water levels in rivers and streams across several districts.
