The idea that Pride flags, for example, are an inherently political display is one I struggle with. There are those who oppose the Pride movement, of course, and they, no doubt, would be the ones offended by the flag, but so what? All the Pride flag stands for is that LGBTQ people exist, and should be treated with basic human decency.
