— There would be no miraculous comeback this time for the Minnesota Twins after another dominating start by Kansas City Royals left-hander Noah Cameron.
Cameron allowed a run and two hits over eight innings, striking out eight, including the last five Twins he faced in Minnesota’s 2-1 loss Wednesday night at Kauffman Stadium.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Twins (56-59) lost for the fourth straight time and fell to 4-8 against this season the Royals, who are 20 games under .500.
Cameron spoiled the debut of new Twins right-hander Dean Kremer, who also pitched well and left after five innings with the score tied 1-1.
He allowed just the one run on three hits and two walks in his five innings, while striking out two.
