The donation was the highest in Modafest’s 11-year history and was presented to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation by Modafest founder, Preston scooter dealer Peter Reid, of Scooter Moda, who organises the weekend-long scooter camp alongside Spencer Cole. Peter, who is bringing Modafest 12 to the same site next July, said: "We had an excellent turn out for Modafest 11. "In my experience, scooterists are a great bunch of people – very friendly and very generous, as shown by the amount raised for Rosemere Cancer Foundation." Fundraising assistant for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Hannah Leahy, said: "Our thanks to Peter, Spencer and everyone who attended and supported Modafest 11 for this fantastic donation. "I know many local scooter enthusiasts look forward to Modafest year on year as an opportunity to enjoy a weekend away with friends.
