Longleat announced the news on Facebook today (August 5), saying it was "thrilled" to confirm the Red Arrows appearance. The flypast is the latest addition to the programme for Icons of the Sky, a three-day event running from September 11 to 13. Among the highlights will be the UK debut of Smiley, a 120-foot-tall scarecrow hot air balloon being brought to the event from the United States by owner and pilot Jack Semler and wife Lynn. Alongside the balloon displays, visitors will be able to enjoy warbird flypasts and aerobatic performances throughout the event.
