Last week, Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced plans to reform social care. Since 1997, there have been 22 attempts to fix social care. The Liberal Democrats have been calling for cross-party talks on social care for years because this is too important to become another political argument. And nobody should have to lose their home or spend a lifetime's savings simply because they need care. Getting social care right would also help our NHS.
