Work Underway To Reopen Adams Avenue And Pilot Bay Boat RampGood progress is being made on work to support the longer-term reopening of Adams Avenue following the recent reactivation of the Mount Maunganui Beachside Holiday Park landslide. As a safety precaution, Adams Avenue was closed to vehicles after the landslide reactivated on Friday, 24 July. Subject to favourable weather and site conditions, the current programme is expected to be completed before the end of August, allowing Adams Avenue and the Pilot Bay boat ramp to reopen. These improvements are expected to significantly increase the resilience of Adams Avenue. We thank the community for its patience while this important resilience work is completed.
