BOX ELDER, S.D — With the arrival of the B-21 aircraft next year, the Douglas School District expects significant growth to come to the Box Elder area. With an estimated 100 additional students entering the district each year, officials within the district realized they needed to upgrade and expand facilities. The first one of these expansions is at Douglas Middle School. "What we learned is we're over out functional capacity at this building at Douglas Middle School," said Kevin Case, Superintendent for the Douglas School District. So once they leave the middle school and they leave the high school and graduate eventually, they'll go out and be successful in the real world."
