An effort to get Scott’s Addition its first park took a significant step forward last week.
The Barrys had used the property as the headquarters for their gardening and landscaping business for decades until their retirement in 2023.
To get the deal over the finish line, Agelasto said CRLC took out a $300,000 loan from the Barrys.
He said any funds that CRLC raises above the $300,000 figure would go toward the park’s design.
The goal, Agelasto said, is to have a completed park at the site in 2028.
