A western Sydney woman has been charged with 62 offences over an alleged campaign of threatening and abusive correspondence.
Police allege the woman sent 19 abusive letters to recipients, including the Sydney Jewish Museum, Lakemba Mosque and radio station 2GB.
Strike Force Eckon detectives charged the woman with offences including sending letters threatening death or grievous bodily harm, stalking or intimidation, and dishonestly obtaining a financial advantage by deception.
Brookes also sent threatening letters to federal Education Minister Jason Clare and Western Australian senator Fatima Payman.
When the first of those earlier mosque threats emerged, federal ministers Tony Burke and Anne Aly joined NSW Police and Counter-terrorism Minister Yasmin Catley in condemning it.
