Bhubaneswar: In a major relief for mobile phone users, Odisha Police recovered 110 lost and stolen mobile phones during a month-long special drive in Koraput district and returned them to their rightful owners on Wednesday.
The special operation was carried out by four police stations under the Jeypore Sub-Division following complaints lodged by victims regarding missing and stolen mobile phones.
“Whenever a person's mobile phone is lost or stolen, they can register the complaint on the CEIR portal by providing the required details.
Using this technology, we successfully tracked and recovered the mobile phones before returning them to their rightful owners,” she said.
Police urged citizens to promptly report lost or stolen mobile phones through the CEIR portal, noting that timely registration significantly improves the chances of recovery.
