The Walt Disney Company has named Industrial Light & Magic and Pixar among the teams it is investing in to develop AI, and told shareholders the work will stay "human-centered, artist-driven, and creator-led." Both statements are in a letter Disney filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 5. AI tool available to more than 2,000 Imagineers earlier this year, giving them access to what the letter puts at over 70 years of institutional knowledge.
