Dennis Miracles Aboagye, an aspiring National Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has cautioned against what he describes as selective justice and the targeting of political opponents. Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on Tuesday, Mr Aboagye argued that no political party remains in power forever and urged Ghanaians not to celebrate the prosecution or incarceration of political opponents simply because they belong to a different party. When host Evans Mensah asked whether he was suggesting an NPP government would retaliate if it returned to power, Mr Aboagye rejected that interpretation. Asked why he felt unsafe, Mr Aboagye said it was because he frequently expressed his views on national issues. He concluded with a warning to those applauding the targeting of political opponents.
