Wednesday Hirschman was making his 34th career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour start at Thompson Speedway since 2005. Hirschman led a dominating 121 laps to roll to victory in the Whelen Modified Tour Thompson 150 presented by FloSports.com on Wednesday at Thompson Speedway. Hirschman’s father Tony, a five-time Whelen Modified Tour champion, scored eight of his 35 career series victories at Thompson Speedway. It was the 13th Whelen Modified Tour victory overall for Matt Hirschman and his second in 2026. The Whelen Modified Tour returns to action at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Aug. 22 for the Mohegan Sun 100.
